One of the best holidays we ever had, with the loveliest, most friendly staff. Fantastic.

Thank you to all at Mnarani for making our perfect day more perfect. To Susan, Elma, Henk, David, Victor and each and every one, for the decorations, cake, thank you cards, choir. Thank you, thank you… We cannot thank you enough! We knew it would be amazing but you exceeded all our expectations.

The resort is beautiful, clean, quiet, peaceful and safe. Beautiful scenery all around… Us being vegetarian they were very accommodating and variety of food was plenty. Rooms are spacious, clean, with nice white décor and a huge bathroom. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all... Recommend it for all!

Din and I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to you and ACT Travel for all your assistance in booking our Honeymoon travel arrangements with Mnarani (Kenya). Our stay was absolute bliss from day one; we have never experienced such wonderful service where 'Nothing' is too much of a hassle! The food was exquisite and the view was breath taking! We made sure we utilized as much of the local activities as possible and really got to experience some of the warm local culture.
This is definitely a place we want to visit again in the future and hopefully get a group of friends and family together come and experience it with us. Jorina, thank you again for your prompt, "hassle free, Services, everything ran so smoothly with absolutely no glitches, which made for a very memorable holiday.
Baie dankie vir jou uitstekende diens. Dit was n fees om met jou te werk deur die bespreking. Laat weet my weer as daar enige ander specials is, ons sal weer Mnarani toe gaan. Die mense is baie vriendelik, ek sou wou gegaan het vir so 10 dae, hulle diens was puik gewees
Lekker dag,

"Mnarani club offers a perfect escape from the hustle of city life and work. My main agenda was to relax and unwind, I did just that with the facilities at the hotel. The infinity pool is one of a kind, I practically swam and lived in it. The pool beds are so comfy, with a friendly attendant ready to offer fresh towels. The grounds are well kept, serene environment. The meals were amazing, I enjoyed the variety served at breakfast. Stayed in a garden room which is very peaceful and quiet, rooms are clean, got good sleep. The best part of the stay was the water sports (kayaking, sailing, stand up paddle boarding, wind surfing, diving with buccaneers) offered by 3 degrees south at the hotel. I love vacations where I can laze about and engage in some physical activities. The staff at the hotel and water sports area are friendly. I got to check out later upon request (thanks Elma). This was my first solo trip, enjoyed every bit of it, will definitely come back."

"I have stayed here twice and both visits were superb in so many ways. The Hotel has a delightful rustic charm built in a local style using natural materials, as you would find for many of the lodges in Kenya. Bedrooms are simple in style but clean, well appointed (double sinks, plenty of towels, shampoo etc.) and with delightful finishing touches such as fresh flower arrangements on your bed to welcome you. The staff are all locals, friendly, well-trained and helpful. As for the food? A delicious spread appears morning noon and night, sometimes at the poolside to on the beach. Food is seasonal with a blend of local and international dishes. They now grow many of their own fruits and vegetables so you know much of your food was freshly harvested that morning. They also accommodate all dietary needs such as vegetarian and vegan. It's a beautiful haven to relax with stunning views across the infinity pool to the creek and Indian Ocean. If you need a little help unwinding do visit the massage parlour. For the more active, there are activities throughout the day and a different local show after dinner each evening. Down on the sheltered beach you can sunbathe, swim, kayak, snorkel, sail and scuba dive. Personally I love diving and found it offered a superb range of dive sites: in the creek there are many nudibranch and juvenile fish, and the mouth of the creek is a haven for new coral growth. This unique environment attracts marine biologists and other researchers. Once out in the ocean, you have Vulmar caves, soft coral gardens and a wreck. We saw turtles, heard whales and saw huge shoals of barracuda etc. Tim and his team are well organized and go to great effort to ensure all levels of divers enjoy the sites safely. We also went out for a sunset cruise on a Dhow and visited local villages. Apparently it is possible to go on safari from there. Overall I loved both holidays here, the hotel, food, people and views, especially sunrise over the creek each morning. I hope to return again very soon. Go, you'll love it!"

"What a beautiful oasis of tranquillity"
We stayed for only one short week, having booked through a First Choice Website. We were given a lovely welcome and from the moment we arrived off the pot-holed road from Mombasa, we felt at peace. A welcome drink – Lovely spacious rooms, a breath taking swimming pool. Delicious food and beautiful courteous service through out. Nice to see the local life in Kilifi town. Also a fantastic Dhow sail from the hotel beach with Captain Issa and his crew – cooking us a delicious lunch of lobster.

"WOW!! Absolutely incredible"
My boyfriend and I spent and unforgettable week at Mnarani. Despite the dodgy roads - which actually added to the entire African experience, our stay was extremely comfortable and SO much fun. The hotel staff were over friendly and generous with their service and had planned activities every evening which included my favourite beach BBQ with a proper Rasta DJ pumping tunes. We made friends with so many other couples there and I would think anyone would have to try really hard not to enjoy a holiday at Mnarani. Thanks again to all the staff

"I stayed here for 5 days while attending a wedding nearby. The staff was amazing, always saying hello and remembering what drink I liked etc. The food was also yummy, lots of tasty curry type dishes and other local specialities. The view is incredible, across Kilifi Creek to the Indian Ocean with cliffs, sparkling blue water and a there is a nice beach also. Boat trips down the creak are possible with picnic lunch with knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend this. The room was nice and pleasant and the entire property seemed very safe. The staff really made the experience wonderful. I hope that I am able to return."

Vriendelike groete,
Hennie Barnard

"Had promised our daughter and school friend that we would go back so they could do their RYA qualification with 3 Degrees (based in the hotel), 3 days of sailing for them and 3 days to relax and enjoy for us mothers! Mnarani never fails to please and you come away feeling so relaxed having seen fabulous sunsets and sunrises (if you can get out of bed early enough!), eaten too much food and enjoyed all there is on offer. We did get adventurous and go out kayaking and our girls had a ball. Hoping to go back again once school holidays start."

Just a little bit of feedback about our stay at Mnarani. We loved it. The settings were beautiful, fantastic view of the sea and the creek from the pool area as well as the restaurant. The chalets were perfect and beautiful and roomy, can't complain. Peace and quiet at night, just so relaxing. As for the staff they were really fantastic, friendly, helpful and full of fun, and the activities were always interesting and we tried to do most of them We loved the catamaran ride as well as our trips to Malindi which was well worth it. Compliments to the driver Omar who was so capable, what with the driving in Kenya I don't know how he manages it. His patience and skill were to be recommended. Well done. We really can recommend this beautiful place. As for Henk and his wife they are a lovely couple. Well done.
I must tell you that on our return to the Mnarani after our safari we were delighted to find the bedroom beautifully decorated with welcome back sign done all with hibiscus flowers, frangipani and brilliant coloured scarlet flowers, the name of which escapes me at the moment. Anyway it was like a coming home feeling and we really appreciated it all.
Best regards,
Mr.and Mrs Macchiona

"Excellent place to relax and wind down, beautiful clean private beach in an alcove, no beach boys on this coast line. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful swim while looking over the sea ample sitting areas to chat in the evening pool, table tennis and dart available to self-entertain, very useful when you have children facility better suited to couples, young families but less ideal for more energetic teens. You will travel 30 minutes outside of Mombasa town towards Kilifi. I greatly enjoyed my stay"

"Just returned from this paradise, this is the 1st holiday review I have ever written but feel compelled to do so. Where to start, this was without doubt our best holiday ever, we upgraded to a creek view room (not much more and well worth it) they are bigger than the garden rooms and have a full size bath and superb view of the creek The staff are fantastic and go out of their way to help you. The food was really good, all on buffet and Wednesday night it was round the pool, and Friday night on the beach (both BBQs). The pool was brilliant and kept very clean by the pool boys, the management (Henk, Elma and Shaun) came round at dinner and spoke to everyone. Water sports wise (3 Degrees) it was tops, make sure you get all your free try-outs. We went for 2 weeks with a safari in the middle, this was bought of Gi-Gi who is basically one of the local guys on the beach, him and his driver Ben gave us a superb safari experience. Captain Issa's dhow cruises are good too. Sorry but it's yet another top review. The only negative is coming home!!!"

"All of the staff are so friendly and kind, they cannot do enough for you, and are always up for a laugh and a joke. They make you feel very welcome when you arrive, which makes it hard to have leave them all when you have to. The hotel management team are very approachable and you feel that they care very much about your stay in their hotel. Rooms are nice, clean and well maintained. Bathroom was spacious and again well maintained. We had a pool view room which we liked as it was in the centre of everything. The food was tasty, varied and plentiful, my wife is a vegetarian and she always had plenty to choose from at all meals. The pool is great and always kept clean, and the pool staff are very helpful, they will always get you a lounger and towels. If you want a change of scene the beach is only a 2 min walk from the main pool and again the service from the staff at the beach is great! You can get drinks served at both locations, and snacks are available at the beach as well, if you want a change from the Buffet. The animation team are good fun and unlike many places I have visited are not at all pushy about attending activities. Talking of which there are plenty of things to keep you occupied if you want to keep active. There is a great Dive Centre located at the Beach (Buccaneer Diving), as well as a Water Sports and Sailing Centre where you can get free taster sessions on several sports. Overall a great hotel, which we would visit again (hopefully soon)"

"We have travelled to many holiday destinations and toured many countries and this has to be one of the best holiday destinations we have ever been to; if not the best. "

"Having stayed at other coastal resorts in Kenya this is Top of the Pops if you're looking for first-class accommodation/facilities, superb food, excellent entertainment and wonderful staff"

"We have just returned from two weeks at Mnarani. We read all the reviews before we went, and were slightly sceptical, how could anywhere be so perfect? However, it wasn't that perfect, it was "MORE THAN PERFECT"

"The Mnarani Club remains one of our favourite hotels anywhere. What makes it so good? The fantastic friendly and welcoming attitude of every single person working there, including the managers, chefs, waiters, gardeners, beach staff, spa staff, entertainment staff etc. (Special thanks to Patrick and Dida at the beach, and Shida the gardener). Great home-cooked and varied food. Excellent water sports, including dinghy and catamaran sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and kayaks, run by 3 Degrees South who are a top notch RYA-accredited training establishment, with a mixture of British and Kenyan staff, all very experienced instructors (and mostly ex-Neilson). They also run a local sailing scene with weekly racing. Stunning location and views, particularly from the upper floor creek rooms. Lovely beach overhung with trees and flowers. Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and proper big mosquito nets, cleaned perfectly twice a day. This remains one of our favourite places to be. Incredibly relaxing, plus great water sports if that's your thing (we sail back in the UK.)"

"Mnarani has three highlights that make it very special for us, the food, the large, clear, pool and the private beach. The next day we decided to spend at leisure and headed for the beach. We made ourselves comfortable under one of the thatched umbrellas getting a deck lounger and mattress for each of us. We decided to get a bit more active and started paddling up and down the creek in canoes. Then we did some snorkelling and were pleasantly surprised at the number and variety of fish just off the Mnarani beach. Some guests fished from the pier, others sailed on the catamaran and others tried to master windsurfing. All non-motorized activities like the above are free of charge to guests. After lunch we crossed the road just outside the Mnarani main gate and bought some souvenirs at very reasonable prices. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing by the pool. That evening before supper we had a variety of entertainment laid on. First we had traditional tribal dancing and singing, then a wine tasting of some Kenyan wines followed by a dance demonstration by a local dance school. The demonstration covered dance forms ranging from ballet to Crump. Supper consisted of a selection of Indian dishes."
